Directions/Map

Getting There by Car

Take the A92 from the South (ie from Dunfermline / Kirkcaldy / Glenrothes) or the North (Dundee). If approaching from the North, take the second turning into Freuchie off the A92. You will find yourself in ‘East End’. Travel along the street for a few hundred yards. On your right you will see a paddock. Creg-Ny-Baa, at this point, is just on your left.

If approaching from the South, take the first turning into Freuchie off the A92. Once again, you will find yourself in ‘East End’.

If travelling from Edinburgh follow the A90 across the Forth Road Bridge, then the M90 until its junction with the A92 (2A). If travelling down the M90 from Perth come off the motorway at Milnathort and take a route along the A911 through Leslie, to the junction with the A92 in Glenrothes.

Getting There by Railway

From Edinburgh Waverley or Haymarket train stations and from all the stops along the Fife Circle route there are regular direct trains to Markinch or Ladybank or Glenrothes stations (then five minute taxi rides to Freuchie). Getting there by Aeroplane

The nearest international Airport is Edinburgh, Turnhouse. Freuchie Taxis (http://www.freuchietaxis.co.uk  telephone +44(0)1337858722) offer a direct service.

If you hire a car, follow signs for the Forth Road Bridge then the A90/M90 until its junction with the A92 (2A). Take the A92 to Freuchie (past Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes) and the first turning into Freuchie off the A92 into ‘East End’. A few hundred yards on your right you will see a paddock. Creg-Ny-Baa, is now on your left.

An airport bus (No 100) stops at Edinburgh Haymarket train station and at the West End for the bus stop in Alva Street where you can catch the X54 bus (Stagecoach) to the road end at East End in Freuchie.
